What is BioLANCC?

BIOLANCC is a platform-independent manage­ment application to operate and integrate manifold biometric access control devices, such as finger print scanners, across Inter­net Protocol (IP)-operated networks. The overall system implements a Java-based 2-tier application, which integrates an SQL data base for required device and user data. Its key characteristic of a com­plete platform independency, including op­erating systems such as Windows 2000/ XP, Linux, and Sun Solaris 9, is combined with a flexible and time-driven access rights and device management scheme for users and devices.

BIOLANCC is the flagship product of Biometronix GmbH, Munich. BIOLANCC software development was a jointly undertaken project between Biometronix GmbH, Munich and ITIS e.V., a flexible research administration organization of UniBwM (University of Federal Armed Forces Munich).
